26 Jun-4 July A week of exhibitions, free Art activities and events in and around Swadlincote - see Swadfest '09.
01 July Craft Fayre 10am-4pm. Here's a chance to try your hand at some crafts, including a potter's wheel and silk painting workshops.
01 July Valuation Day 2.30-4pm. James Lewis of Bamford's Auctioneers will be offering advice and valuations. £1 per item is requested towards museum upkeep, please.
15 July 7pm - The Magic Attic programme: A Historical Walk around Ashby led by Robert Jones. Meet 7pm at Ashby Museum.
19 Aug 7.30pm - The Magic Attic programme: Farmhouses through Time - Keith Blood. Tea or coffee and biscuits provided. A small entrance fee of £2 is charged to defray expenses.
16 Sept 7.30pm - The Magic Attic programme: The Norkies and The Brewery Trips - Ian Hingley. Tea or coffee and biscuits provided. A small entrance fee of £2 is charged to defray expenses.
10 Oct 10am - Mary Queen of Scots - The Captive Years. A Lecture by David Templeman. Tickets £5 including refreshments.
21 Oct 7.30pm - The Magic Attic programme: Made in Derbyshire - Shirley Horton. Tea or coffee and biscuits provided. A small entrance fee of £2 is charged to defray expenses.
24 Oct 10am - Mary Queen of Scots - Her Downfall. A Lecture by David Templeman. Tickets £5 including refreshments.
07 Nov 10am - The Gunpowder Plot. A Lecture by Sally Henshaw. Tickets £5 including refreshments.
18 Nov 7.30pm - The Magic Attic programme: Magic Attic Mixtures - Graham Nutt. Tea or coffee and biscuits provided. A small entrance fee of £2 is charged to defray expenses.

The Boundary Singers during a Concert in the Kiln.
At the Centre a multi-purpose meeting room and lecture theatre with seating for up to 70 people is available for hire. The bottle kiln has amazing acoustics and many local choirs, singers and musicians are enjoying this venue with a difference.
'Talk and Tour' arrangements can be made for parties.
